Ian Skipworth
General Manager Olex New Zealand
Ian started at Olex in February 2009 as the Manufacturing Manager. He was appointed General Manager in 2011. Ian has international experience as General Manager and senior management level in a number of manufacturing businesses including ten years with Rolls-Royce in the UK. He is a chartered mechanical engineer.

Michael Pienaar
National Sales Manager - Building and Industry
Michael immigrated to New Zealand from South Africa in 2001. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Operations Management at Auckland University. He joined Olex in August 2005 as the Northern Sales Engineer and has moved in various roles within the sales group to become National Sales Manager - Building and Industry in 2010.

Alan Gee
National Sales Manager - Energy and Infrastructure
Alan joined Olex in 1999. Prior to this he trained as an electrical fitter in the NZED and then moved on to working at the Taranaki Polytech as a technician and a full time tutor.
Following additional training in the instrumentation field he worked on the Methanex site in Taranaki before joining Sprecher & Schuh (later known as Rockwell Automation) as a Product Manager specialising in motor control and protection.
He joined Olex as an account manager looking after the Electrical Supply Industry customers and is currently the National Sales Manager - Energy and Infrastructure.

David Griffiths
Technical Manager
David has been with Olex since 1965, commencing as an apprentice electrician, and has held positions of Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer prior to his appointment as Technical Manager. He has knowledge of the physical, chemical, electrical, properties of cable materials, process technology for the manufacture of cables.

John Tanswell
Human Resources Manager
Prior to joining Olex in July 2008, John worked for several local organisations in various HR related roles, including 12 years with Methanex NZ Ltd. He joined Olex New Zealand as the Human Resources Advisor before accepting the role of Human Resources Manager.

Glenn Forsyth
Supply Chain Manager
Glenn started with Olex as a Mechanical Draughtsman in September 1981. He left Olex for a period of time and then returned in October 1998. He has have various roles in cable manufacture including, process design and product development and creation of production management and planning systems. He is currently the Supply Chain Manager of planning, inventory, purchasing and distribution functions.

Ewen Carswell
Engineering Manager
Ewen joined Olex in 1989 as a Shift Electrician, promoted to Electrical Team Leader and in 2001 appointed Engineering Manager.
Ewen has also worked in the dairy industry, his trade training commenced in the RNZAF as an Avionics Technician and then an adult apprenticeship with a power supply authority Palmerston North MED.

David Skvor
Production Manager
David is currently the Production Manager at Olex New Zealand. He started with Olex in March 2003 as a Production Technician in several areas of the factory, until taking on the Production Manager role in 2011.
Prior to joining Olex he worked in the aviation and steel industries.

Fiona Bilsland
Finance Manager
Fiona joined the team at Olex in September 2011 as the New Zealand Finance Manager. She has previously held a position as a Finance Manager working for a FMCG company. She has also held various other accounting positions within the Finance and Banking sector.

	Mark Williams Sales Manager - Industry Mark joined Olex in July 2003 in an internal sales role. Mark’s current responsibility is for the Industry sector of New Zealand which includes Windfarms, OEM, Rail and Generation. Prior to Olex, Mark worked for Alstom both in New Zealand and prior to emigrating in South Africa. Mark has an Electrical/Sales background.
	Kelvin Cooper Business Development Manager Kelvin started out in the Lab in June 1980 but quickly moved into various engineering roles within the manufacturing environment. In 1999 he graduated from Waikato University with a Masters Degree in Technology Management, which led to the implementation of a New Products program. By 2001 he was heavily involved with the Olex sales team, later joining them in his current role. His extensive manufacturing experience assists the sales team exceed customer product expectations.
	Vanessa Dempsey Industry Sales Administrator Vanessa started with Olex in February 2009 as part of the Industry Sales Team, her current role involves the coordination and administration of project work (infrastructure and renewable energy) within the Industry Channel.Vanessa worked in the fields of e-learning, instructional design and multimedia prior to joining Olex. She has a background in the advertising, marketing and communications sectors.

	Patricia de Bruyn ESI Sales Administrator Patricia joined Olex in May 2008. She started in Customer Services and later joined the ESI team within the same year of joining Olex. Prior to Olex - Patricia immigrated from South African to New Zealand in June 2007 where she worked for a Computer Company for 10 years.
Sales and Customer Services - Auckland
	Ben Pienaar Auckland Territory Manager Ben joined Olex in April 1996 as Auckland Branch Manager. In 2010 his role also included sales. In 2011 his role changed to Auckland Territory Manager. Ben's background includes being a business owner in South Africa involved in the Electrical Industry, working for a contractor in New Zealand, Sales Engineer with Crane, Branch Manager with Electrical Wholesalers to his current position.
	Mike Pilbro Regional Key Account Manager (Upper and Middle North Island) Mike has been with Olex since September 1984. He began as a sales rep and has expanded his sales area since he has been with Olex.
	Lani Vaka Customer Services Representative Lani joined the customer services team in Auckland in February 2007. Prior to Olex she worked at Plumbing World for 10 years in Retail Sales/Customer Services.
	Natasha Rutherford Customer Services Representative Natasha started in May 2011 as a customer services representative with Olex. She has worked in the cable industry for 9 years.
Sales and Customer Services - Christchurch
	Murray Lawrence Christchurch & Central North Island Territory Manager Murray has been with Olex since 2001. He started as the Auckland Branch Manager, and in 2006 moved to Wellington to become the Central Region Sales Engineer until 2010. It was in 2010 that he became the Christchurch and Central North Island Territory Manager. He has been in the electrical industry all his working life, and is an electrician by trade.
	Jon Elkins Regional Key Account Manager (South Island) Jon started in Olex Christchurch in 1998 in the dispatch area for 1 year then moved to dual role of dispatch / customer service. He left Olex in December 2000 to travel overseas for 3 years. He returned to Olex in in 2005 to a customer service role until 2007 when he became a sales Rep. This developed to become the Regional Key Account Manager for the South Island.
	Melissa Burke Customer Services Representative Melissa started with Olex in October 2011. Prior to her employment at Olex she was an Accounts Administrator/ Customer Relations representative for a kitchen manufacturing company that produced and dispatched kitchens and joinery throughout New Zealand.
	Maraea Johnson Customer Services Representative Maraea joined the Christchurch Olex branch as a customer service Rep in November 2011. She previously worked in the transport industry responsible for freight administration of linehaul units.
Customer Services Team - New Plymouth
	Kieran O'Neill Customer Services Manager Kieran emigrated from the UK in 2001, after working for 10 years at a large electrical manufacturing company where he also had completed a mechanical technical apprenticeship. He started with Olex in April 2006 in the quoting department and moved to Customer Services Manager in 2010.
	Ken Agar Customer Services Representative Ken started with Olex in customer services and sales in August 2003. He has a background in Electrical / Data & Switchboard Manufacture. He worked for Tolley Ind 1973 -1979 and also Managed Tenpin Bowling centres.
	Don Bagnall Customer Services Representative Don joined Olex in September 2007. Prior to Olex, Don worked in the Road Transport Industry for Clark & Rogers Transport Ltd.
	Jason Watts Sales and Export Administrator Jason started in dispatch in our Christchurch warehouse in December 2006 and then moved into a customer services position soon after his start date. He relocated to New Plymouth and is currently the sales and export administrator. Before working at Olex he was an assistant vineyard manager for 3 years on a large vineyard in the Marlborough region.
